Founded in 1970 by Charles Forte, Forte Village Resort is a 55 hectare hotel and resort complex located on the island of Sardinia, Italy. Forte Village features seven hotels with 771 guest rooms between them, as well as extensive entertainment facilities. This beachside resort is nestled within luscious gardens, and features the world-famous Thalasso del Forte Spa, which boasts twenty luxurious treatment rooms.
Forte Village is famous for its array of world-class restaurants and bars, and in particular won recognition in 2014 for having the first Italian restaurant to host a season of Hell’s Kitchen – the winner of which won the position of new executive chef of the Forte Village resort.
Forte Village is also renowned for hosting a multitude of athletic events including the annual Challenge Forte Village Sardinia international triathlon as well as the ITF Futures tennis tournament. In 1999, Forte Village also hosted some of the competitors for the World Cup. For guests, the resort offers a wide variety of sports and athletic activities, such as the rugby academy, cricket academy, and a football academy taught by coaches from Chelsea Football Club, as well as many others for almost every interest.
From 1998 to 2014, Forte Village Resort was bestowed with the World’s Leading Resort award, given by the World Travel Awards.
